The story that isn’t

The left is using a person they, like most of us, rarely treat as credible these days to attack Sean Hannity and the Freedom Alliance.

The accusation basically amounts to the Freedom Alliance raising a bunch of money and barely using any of it for the Alliance’s primary purpose.

The allegations are based on IRS 990 forms, but the allegations do not hold water when you delve into the 990’s and the other Freedom Alliance information.

A statement is out from the Freedom Alliance. I’m putting it below the fold.

I know the value and necessity of cleaning up our own side. I regularly do it. But the good work the Freedom Alliance does means those who cast stones at it should check, double check, and check again before trying to smear it. Same with Sean Hannity. He does tremendously good work for our soldiers, sailors, and veterans.

Below the fold is the Freedom Alliance Statement.

America:”Screw You!”; Obama:”I Want It Now!”

You could tell just as soon as his props started filing out, most likely low-level White House staffers in the obligatory white lab coats left over from the rose garden hoopla a while ago. You could tell by the overbearing look of arrogance on his face. You could tell from the first sentence out of his mouth that there wouldn’t be a word of truth or forthrightness coming out of him.

Rush, Hannity and Levin said much the same thing, that there was not one bit of truth, fact or substance in anything he said. This guy is not really a convincing liar, you’d have to have seriously bought into the whole Obama persona thing to swallow it.

Flashback: A Staffer Hands Out The Props.

In his hubris he demanded an up or down vote on the bill within weeks, indicating use of the reconciliation process for passage without calling it that. Facing uniform opposition from the GOP and not a few Democrats, Obama, like Nancy Pelosi on ABC Sunday, called for loyal Democrats to fall on their swords while acknowledging that the legislation wasn’t very popular, by saying that he ‘didn’t know where it was going politically’. Master of understatement! America overwhelmingly despises this bill and everything to do with it.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said that the legislation was vastly unpopular because the American people knew what the bill stood for and didn’t want it. He further said it represented a half a trillion dollars in Medicare cuts and a half a trillion dollars in tax increases. He said that in the first ten years it would create two point five trillion dollars in unfunded debt through new spending. He also made the point that the opposition to the bill was not between the Republicans and the Democrats, it was between the Democrats and the American people. He followed by saying that the price would be paid in November because the Democrats would not have this issue behind them, they would have it in front of them.

The desperation of the Obama administration is palpable. What they and most everyone else has ignored is that with every likelihood of a Republican takeover of Congress in 2010, Obama just as likely to be a one term President, with the Democrats setting the precedent for major legislation through reconciliation, anything they do pass could be just as easily dismantled.

Let’s hope it doesn’t get that far. Mark Levin has called for all his listeners to saturate Congress with their calls, faxes and emails. Let me add my urging to that. Everyone who reads this please get active. It’s our country, it’s your and your children’s freedoms. It’s the future of the free world.

3 Pieces of Advice for Sean Hannity

Humor alert!

I say this with love…

Cross posted at Mike LaChance.

Sean Hannity, the wake-up call is for you.

Word is that Congressman Mike Pence (R-IN) may run against Senator Evan Bayh (D-IN).

When I worried out loud that Pence would have to risk a great deal to run, a smart friend of mine cut to the chase: “Pence has to run. If 2010 isn’t the time to defeat Bayh, there will never be a time to beat him.”

Why would I, a strong supporter of Pence, have such a timid initial reaction to this perfect match up — one that Pence can win?

Because of people like Sean Hannity.

Over the years, Sean has been quite welcoming to the soft-spoken Bayh, giving him face time and radio time to spout his foolish claims about being less than the born-and-bred liberal he is.

It’s conservatism by association. And it’s worked beautifully for Bayh.

Here’s just one example from August, 2009:

HANNITY: Do you think the Democratic Party has moved too far to the left?
BAYH: Well, I find myself having a more moderate to conservative fiscal and economic outlook, and a little more forceful outlook on national security than some members of my party. But look, you know, both extremes. Whether it’s on the far left or the far right, tend to not really speak to the American people and come up with practical solutions.

And my guess is what the vast majority of your viewers want, whether they’re Democrats or Republicans, or regardless of ideology, they want what works. What will matter in their daily lives. And enough of this politics and enough of this ideology.

Evan Bayh could not be more wrong. It’s all about ideology. It’s all about which world view will inform individual choices; daily lives flow from ideology. That’s why so many people who voted for Obama now regret that choice, because of the day-to-day repercussions of his ideology. That’s why so many voters have lost their jobs — because companies have no choice but to cut positions when liberals (acting on their “politics” and their “ideology”) pass laws that cripple the economy.

Not surprisingly, this week Bayh has been widely quoted as saying Brown’s upset victory in Massachusetts is a “wake-up call” for Democrats. Whoopee. For Bayh, that just means that Coakley didn’t know how to cover her tracks and dupe the electorate as he’s been able to do.

Of course, Sean Hannity quoted Bayh’s “wake-up call” comment during an interview with John McCain this week. And that’s exactly what Bayh wants. He wants to be considered the Sarah Palin of his party, but it’s all a lie. This week, Bayh pulled the same old play out of his playbook to try to save his Senate seat:

“ The only [way] we are able to govern successfully in this country is by liberals and progressives making common cause with independents and moderates,” Bayh said.  “Whenever you have just the furthest left elements of the Dem party attempting to impose their will on the rest of the country — that’s not going to work too well.”

http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2010/01/bayh-warns-catastrophe-if-dems-ignore-massachusetts-senate-race-lessons.html

So according to Bayh, there are 1) liberals, 2) progressives, 3) independents, and 4) moderates. Is that all? Have we missed anyone? How about CONSERVATIVES? Did he forget about them? I guess that’s because they have no “common cause” in governing with Bayh and his buddies. How true.

Up to this point, Evan Bayh has been almost impossible to pin down, but he showed his true colors by voting for the health care debacle, and stating publicly that it was a wrenching choice, while privately rallying the Democrats with anti-Republican, anti-conservative rhetoric behind the scenes.

So, Sean Hannity, it all comes back to you:

In 2010, you would be doing the country a great favor by forgetting to book Evan Bayh on your TV and radio shows. Just lose his number. Don’t return his calls. Stop offering free commercial time for Bayh-the-candidate to back peddle, provide excuses, and regurgitate flowery, conciliatory rhetoric to save his political life.

Or at the very least, Sean, stop treating Evan Bayh like a favorite colleague. A true conservative is going to take Bayh out this year — if you don’t get in the way.

Hillary’s 100 Billion Largesse To Third World Dictatorships – Your Dollars!!

Isn’t it wonderful? Mrs Clinton spending money we DON’T HAVE now, the way she wished she could have spent it during her husband’s presidency. Gives you that warm glow, like a bonfire at the State Department. That fuzzy feeling that all liberals know and love, when their ‘well intended’ programs create HAVOC that they don’t have to pay for, solve, or be held responsible for because their INTENTIONS were good.

Hillary Clinton

Hillary Clinton

Hillary’s speech said it all. Billions of dollars to countries where the money is absolutely guaranteed to end up in the hands of whatever ruling junta of the day happens to be in control. Electrical turbine windmills and solar panels that magically transform into AK-47s, rocket-propelled grenades, mortars and hand grenades to perform the favorite third world version of birth control. It’s a vision any leftist will be proud of.

Meanwhile, back at the blizzard, things got hot around the campfire at the Copenhagen round up. The Anointed One’s less than inspirational envirobabble was payed at least as much attention to as one of his speeches around here lately, which is to say not much.
A desperate and desperate appearing  Obama managed to cobble together a half-hearted, very sarcastically received, NON-BINDING agreement of sorts and skipped out of town before a vote could be taken, lest he be seen to preside over ANOTHER loss, then flew home to the largest Christmas blizzard in Washington for decades. Uh,  how’s that warming Barry?

Things in general just didn’t go well for the collection of losers that comprised the ZEALOTS BALL. Still trying to figure out what Nancy (Stretch) Pelosi was doing there, unless it was to convince the members there that they should contribute matching funds to her pork slush fund. Or maybe it was to give tutorials on slash and burn economics, something to which she can claim expertise. Then, Gordon Brown flying over there to use his vast intellectual vacuum to ‘create some movement’ in the Envirowacky process must have ‘em rollin’ in the aisles in Whitehall.
Apparently, the major malfactors in this international CLOWN COLLEGE were so proud of their participation, many would not stay for the obligatory ROGUES GALLERY portrait to emblazen themselves into posterity. Shame that, would have made a great public hanging.

Back at the Senate, Ben Nelson (D) Neb. and Bob Casey (D) Penn. were at last report holding strong against the illegal and patently UNCONSTITUTIONAL machinations of Dingy Harry Reid, who is planning a Christmas Eve kamikaze vote on the Senate version of the bill. In desperation, DeMarxists could still opt to go the reconciliation route which would essentially gut the bill, albeit giving them a very tepid victory and almost guaranteeing lemming-like mass political suicide. Many members may think twice and even three times before throwing themselves off the cliff for an obsessed and unprincipled leadership, and a daily weakening and FAILING PRESIDENCY. If you want to follow how YOUR Congress critters are voting, so you can put the blame where it belongs, go to Sean Hannity.com.

Don’t slack up!! Keep going after them, even though many of the cowards have shut down their phone lines. Letters, emails, visits to local offices, telegrams, are ALL effective. Let them know WE WILL VOTE THEM OUT OF OFFICE. God bless you and God bless America!
